A mission in
Acapulco
For me, sport has always been more than just wins and trophies. It's a way to give back. A chance to use the platform I’ve been given to make a real difference. In 2024, during my time in Acapulco, I wanted every serve to mean something more.
Before the Abierto Mexicano Telcel began, I pledged to donate $1,000 for every ace I hit during the tournament to support the victims of Hurricane Otis, which devastated parts of Mexico in 2023.
Over the course of three matches, I hit 15 aces, which meant a total donation of $15,000 went directly to the communities impacted by this disaster.
These funds became part of the broader effort led by Reconstruyendo Acapulco, a project that’s not just rebuilding homes but also restoring dignity, emotional resilience, and a sense of community. So far, the initiative has delivered 73 homes, with many more under construction, as well as a school and a chapel underway.
I feel truly humbled to have played a small role in such a powerful mission. Tennis took me to Mexico, but this experience in 2024 reminded me that impact goes far beyond the court.

This year, I had the chance to share that obsession in an interview with Aston Martin Magazine, where we talked about speed, craftsmanship, and why driving clears my head almost as much as a long rally.
I recently got my hands on a V12 Speedster, my first supercar, and yes, it’s every bit as fun as it looks. And I’ve got a Valhalla on the way too. Can’t wait.

Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships
In case you missed it, I clinched my first ATP 500 title at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on the 1st of March, 2025, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-3 in the final. This victory marked my 12th career title and returned me to the Top 10 in the ATP rankings.
This win was particularly special as it ended an 11-match streak of losses in ATP 500 finals. Reflecting on the match, I felt my focus levels were at their highest, which was crucial in securing the victory.
